Upcoming book signings

Looking forward to a couple of upcoming book signings. The first is July 24 in Weston the heart of CCM country. On the previous occasions when I've spoken about the company there has always been someone in attendance who was related to or knew someone who worked for CCM. I'm certain that will be the case in Weston and I'm looking forward to meeting them. The signing is being hosted by Squibb's Stationers at the Frontlines community centre 1844 Weston Rd.

Next up is July 30 at Backpeddling a bicycle store owned and operated by Clayton Foxall in Guelph, ON. Clayton is a young guy who runs one of the busiest bicycle shops around and also has a fondness for old bikes. As a result his store not only houses over 1,000 new bicycles, it also has a fantastic collection of vintage bicycles some from as early as the 1850's. I met Clayon at the Vintage Canadian Bicycle show in Brantford and look forward to seeing him again.

If you're in the neighbourhood on either of these dates, drop in and say hello.

Off tomorrow to Backpeddling in Guelph. IF you're in the neighbourhood, c'mon in and say hi.

John

Spent a wonderful morning with Clayton and his crew at Backpeddling in Guelph. It's always uplifting to meet folks who are as passionate about what they do as these guys are. They have an amazing operation there. it's a warehouse space that contains literally hundreds of bikes and thousands of parts - modern and vintage.

One of the things that makes the operation unique is the large garage door. At 10 o'clock the door rolled up and folks of all ages began to ride or push their bicycle right into the shop where Clayton and the lads are ready to meet them. While the lads do everything from replace flat tires to straighten bent rims, Clayton is showing folks new and used bikes and setting prices on trade-ins (when he isn't out front riding his high-wheeler that is). The line-up  is non-stop.

It was a pleasure to spend the morning there and as a bonus I was able to sell some books and meet some fellows who had worked at CCM. Thanks again Clayton.
