Vintage Wheels Rebuilt!

Hi! Just wanted to show off my wheel rebuild. This is part of an ongoing project to restore a late 60s SCP Cruiser for my girlfriend.

I used the original rims and hubs, but replaced the old spokes with new stainless DT Swiss spokes and nipples.

Here is the old wheel in teardown:

And here they are all built up!

Time to order some new tires....

nice. I hope you dipped the spoke threads in linseed oil or spoke preparation before the build.

Yeah, I just used a basic grease on the threads of the spokes. I did extensive reading on the topic before the build, and the consensus was grease is a fine substitute.
