WTB Jones Saddles
The Jones saddle was a Canadian patented, Canadian-made saddle. They came as original equipment on Sunshine Waterloo bicycles, at least for part of their production run. I'm looking for mens and/or ladies saddles, hopefully with original covering, but will consider anything you have. The manufactured item looks a little different than the patent, but the angle adjustment is there.
I'm still looking to buy Jones seats for my Sunshine Waterloo bikes. I just bought one on Ebay that has a really nice stamp. It even clearly says Stratford Canada on it, making it a really nice piece of Canadian cycling history. However, it's missing the mounting hardware that attaches the seat frame to the seat post. It was priced accordingly, but that missing piece is unique to the Jones saddle (see patent) and I can't mount it on a bike without it. It would be a shame to have to take apart another Jones saddle to make one good one out of two. It would be really great if someone had a Jones in very poor condition or Jones parts in a bin somewhere that I could buy to get this saddle on the road. Please contact me if you do.
