I think that most 1939 "Motorbikes" would have had either the standard CCM diamond headbadge or the "Rambler" headbadge. The Crown headbadge was associated with CCM, but was not very common.

The only reason I say a "crown" badge is that when I bought the bike someone had peeled off the head badge leaving a circular shape in the paint. I will see if I can attach the picture
This paint is not original. Therefore, it is doubtful that the Crown headbadge was original either. Someone probably just used it because it would fit. The bike was either Maroon or a darker blue when it was made.

Thank you very much jdwillia. That answers some more questions as well. I'm new to collecting but always wanting to learn more.
i wouldn't use that "Crown" headbadge on a 1939 CCM Motorbike
find a regular CCM diamond shaped badge and it will be proper
The oval Columbia or oval Perfect badge would be a better fit
I was originally thinking I wanted a "perfect" badge but someone had advised me not to for some reason. Are you selling are "perfect" badge?
not selling any badges, I have frames for all of them
but why would they advise not to use a "PERFECT" badge?
I'm not sure, maybe they thought that motorbikes and perfect weren't shared?
also, would you know where I'd locate a perfect badge? Might make a post.
try to measure the distance between the screw holes first
not all badges have identical dimensions I think
