Hi,
What is the correct tire size for this rim? Is it 28 x 1 1/2" (ISO 635?). Are these Endric or Westwood rims and will most tires fit these rims equally well? That is, is there different tires for the different styles rim?
Thanks, Daryl
That's right folks. Gentleman is looking for a good home for his father's bike. It has original frame, fenders, handlebars, front wheel and carrier. Rear wheel, seat, pedals are new. Bike is located in Peterborough. If interested, send me a note - john.mckenty@sympatico.ca - and I'll give you the contact info.
Researched a thread here on a war era supercycle that might have had a Walton & Brown 285 spindle as stock equipment.
I recently got hold of this NOS 284 spindle. Anyone know if there's a way to date this with any specificity? It's very nicely made.

Dear reader,
My name is isie and I'm sending you this email all the way from Belgium. I wonder if you can help me. I have been scanning the internet for information on a bicycle that is for sale in my neighborhood. Its a kids bike and its a antique maple leaf now I have been looking for more info on the maker but its a bit of a mystery. is a maple leaf bike a CCM bike or a Dodge bike??? and do you have any Idea on the age???
Here's some of my collection of NOS pedal parts.
The spindles shown are a sample of the types and sizes.
The jars hold assorted cones, washers and nuts.
Enjoy
Here's some more Nickel. The screws and nuts are NOS, as is the pump clip. Sprocket is obviously used. The oil cap in the fourth photo is NOS. is it lead? The other two pieces are nos & nickel. I'm not sure what they are. Stamped Patent June 5, 1900.
In what year did CCM start painting the bottom part of the rear fender white for safety reasons. Any input would be helpful
It's in pretty great condition under the furry grease. Do I clean or not? That is the question.
