Simpson by CCM stationary bike

Hi there I have a Simpson by CCM stationary exercise bike, I can not find
any  information on this bike. I came across your site and maby thought
you could  help me. I'd like to know how much money this bike is worth as
I don't  want  to keep it, and the year it was made, etc. Bike is in good
condition and only  missing one of the black rubber foot ends. It is a
bronzy orange color, (all  original). Has 2 knobs on it that control the

Patent date

I'm sure this is a common problem, but lately I seem to be having more and more discussions/arguments with people who insist on dating their items based on a patent date. It's difficult, at times, to explain that companies, including CCM, often used the same part for many years on their products. Thus you can get a hub patented in 1937 on a 1946 bike.

A CCM Cyclet

A buddy of mine was helping an older couple get ready for a yard sale and pulled this baby out of their basement. Knowing I was into CCM he bought it and sold it to me. It's missing the front fender and the seat is worn a bit on the one side, but you can still see the original burgundy paint and pinstriping. I'm seriously thinking of having it restored, but have no idea what that would cost. Any thoughts?
