1940`s CCM Flyer track bike

I own this late 1940`s CCM Flyer track bike. I was told it was made right after the war.  I really need to find a longer stem for it.  Anyone else have a CCM Flyer ?? I would love to buy another or any other old track bike. The serial numbers don`t add up with the serial number charts. It has Reynolds 531frame ,  CCM skiptooth sprocket, Schwinn track hubs. Nice original paint.

Wow beautiful bike and color. I am in love.

I want this bike! Love it!

I believe this is a 50's Track bike.  It could be a late 40's though, but the diamond shaped

badge was used throughout the 40's and I always thought this badge was not used until

the 50's.  She is beautiful and this is the 2nd green one I have seen.  Mine is blue and a

1941 - much different..   I have a friend who has a 50's identical to yours but in blue with the pin-striping.

I wonder why yours has no pin-striping!   As for the stem, you should be able to find one on ebay.

Best of luck and great bike!!!

The bike in the link is very nice. I really wanted a 30`s or 40`s  Flyer  but I found this one for a great price did not want to pass it up and never find another CCM . The question about the pinstriping. It has pinstripping look close in the first and last picture and you can see it.  The striping is a little thin in some areas. Still need to get a nicer stem for the bike.

Here is the bike with a NOS Phillipe underslung track stem and matching bars.I think it looks better now.

I don't know exactly when the oval head badge came into use but I know it was in place by 1950 and that the Flyer had been dropped from the catalog by then. The old diamond badge was still in use as late in 1941 when it was announced that Flyer production would be discontinued for the duration of the war. Consequently, the subject bicycle should be 1946-1949.
