Axle Nuts 1942 CCM Rambler

I’d like to replace the front and rear axles nuts on my ‘42 CCM Rambler. Does anyone know what size I should be looking for? Thanks!

Hi Wayne,

It may be difficult to locate anything that resembles the original CCM axle nuts. The number of threads per inch is not a standard item today.

Someone out there most likely has NOS ones. Just takes some time to find them.

the front nuts are 3/8 x 24 threads per inch requiring a 5/8 wrench   reaer nuts the same except require a 11/16 wrench hope this is of some help   william rudolph

Thanks for that info...helps a lot!

axle nuts 3/8 x24 are still used on a lot of back pedal brakes today but require a 15 mm. wrench. 3/8 x24 is the standard fine thread available where nuts are sold. but require a 9/16 ?  wrench  william rudolph
