CCM Brantford Model 534

I acquired a CCM Brantford Model 534 a couple of years ago. I have done some work on it, replace the rear wheel with the proper wooden one, and almost have it on the road. Question to the group - does anyone know when this model was made? I know it is prior to 1918 as the Brantford Models 554-558 are shown in the 1918 CCM Accessories Catelog. Another collector suggest around 1905... Anyone have any info?

Bill: welcome to the board.

Below is a page from a 1916 catalogue. Although it doesn't show it, it lists a Brantford Model 534, Cushion Frame, 22, 24 or 26 in. Of course that doesn't tell us when they introduced that model. I have a CCM Cleveland Model 534.

Great... Thanks... That would seem to make sense... if models 55_ was from 1918. presumably , models 54_  would be from 1917 and model 53_ would be 1916,

I also have 3 other vintage C.C.M . bikes - all from the 1960's - a boys and a girl's 24" and a "Mustang"... The boys bike is very similar to my first bike - a CCM Imperial Mark 4, that my twin brother and I  got for our 7th birthdays in 1960.

John... I would be very interested in a scanned version of the 1916 catalog... Would this be something you could do? I'd obviously reimburse for the costs...Bill

I recently recieved a response from the Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa, to my request regarding the possible manufacture date for my bicycle.  They found pictures and reference to the Brantford Model 534 in a 1910 CCM catalog. It therefore could be that old....
