CCM Voyageur

Got a note form a lad who grew up in Canada, but has lived in the States for the past 25 years. He just bought what he says is a CCM Voyageur and would like to get any info on it that he could. I must confess I'm not familiar with that model. Does anyone out there have any info. If so, please post here or let me know and I will forward his email address.

Hi;

He might mean a Le Voyageur.  I had one, bought around 1965.  It was a steel framed 10 speed road bike, Huret Alvit changers, 27x1/14 wheels, drop bars.  I had to order it in at my local sports shop.  I'd seen it in a display poster in their window - just had to have it!  Needless to say, I had the only one around, though another kid at my high school had a ten speed from Sears, I think.  I never saw another one nor have I seen one since, even searching online.

I actually still have the Le Voyageur I purchased in 1965. My son uses it now and again to show his bike friends.The invoice says I paid $79.99 less a trade in.  I also have the lifetime warranty booklet but it does for course has no value because CCM went bankrupt many years ago. The bike is very original except for a new back wheel replaced in the first year under warranty.
