Acquired this one at the Leamington auction this past weekend serial # 17723S (1959) Question is anyone know why the two 3/8 diam holes were drilled in the top rail, also the small holes in the top caps on the forks.

Seriously though, I can't think of anything that couldn't also be accomplished with a home-made bracket. They wrecked a good frame.
Indeed they did ruin it. I plan on using the wheels and other parts on a 1944 frame I have.
