John: Have you got a pic from the chain side which shows the crank configuration better...looks like a 3 pc hanger, but the picture is a challenge for these old eyes. A crown "C" hanger was used on CCM built "Crown" badged bikes in 1934, but the chainwheel looks like a Brit UEK from this pic. If it is a Crown, the proper saddle would have been a # 1867 Leatheries' I presume the current saddle is a "Dunlop"

It has the UEK crankset, Dunlop saddle & CCM frame like yours. It also has the CCM aluminum wartime pedals and a CCM 37 rear hub. I don't know much about it, although it was probably assembled by CCM.
