Saved this one fom a barn.I can't seem to find any serial number. Its going to take a bit of work but at least I saved it.Green paint looks original to me but not sure about how "mustang" is painted on the frame?
Sounds like it could be a 1977 single speed. White block letters?
Head badge, not a decal?
I guess I was replying as you were uploading pics. LOL
Yup, that''s the bike.
The serial number should be on the left side of the seat tube, close to the crank.
Mine has the one serial number that confuses the heck out of me. It is quite clearly an "E".
I even double checked, hoping it was actually a "B", but it looks like an "E".
????????????
so are those white block letters factory?
Yes, all 1977 CCM bikes have blank chainguards and names on the frame. The green is not shown, but is described.
1977 was also the first year for that style of headbadge.
thanks for the info. Are these single speeds collectible?Any idea what it would be worth.
