i have a 458 Cleveland with a cracked headtube and a Model F with a cracked chainstay. Is it possible to remove the rear triangle from the bottom bracket and replace it assuming the parts fit properly?

You might be able to do this but it would be a lot work. The back stays will be pined at the lug joint. You would have to some how get the pin out then heat the joint so brazing will let it come apart..i just had this done to my Ruby Rim Brantford bike that was wrecked in a rearender. I had the back stays replaced and also the top tube. You would need a frame building machine to get it back together right for brazing. it was not a cheap job.

This is not a CCM but a 1897 Brantford Ruby Rim. The bike had been restored before the accident. Put new top bar and replaced rear stays. if you look close you can see where the joints where pinned which they did then to hold it together before brazing.

Thats some really nice work! I measured everything up and the lugs for the chainstays are different widths.
It appears that the chainstay on the other side was repaired previously. Maybe i could get a similar repair done?
