Vintage CCM ID and Age
Hi, hope members cna help ID, our recently acquired CCM Bike, which is in need of some "rustoration"
It is a two wheel, flat steel frame with hand rivets, has a 17 1/2 inch front wheel and 9 3/4 inch diameter back rear wheel, pedals on front wheels as shown..
Would love to have more information or see a photo from an original catalogue showint this bike and what the original seat would look like.
Does head badge say Toronto or Weston?

..Did CCM build a strap trike?
I think maybe this was a trike made into a 2 wheeler at some time in the last 100 years.
Badge says Weston (pic was easier to see on The CABE). I've never seen a 2-wheeler CCM like this. We need someone with a 1920s and/or '30s CCM kids Joycycles catalogue to check for 2-wheelers. If they made one it might have been for only a year or two if it didn't sell.
This Bikette made an appearance in the 1939 CCM catalogue.
So there you go!, call it a 1939 Bikette. That's very cool Mark. It must be very rare. CCM tricycles on the other hand are around, so in my opinion your best bet for a resurection is to find a trike of the same vintage and wheel size and sacrifice it for parts. You could potentially get the "correct" CCM front and rear wheels and tires, crank, pedals, front fender, grips, and seat. The rear fender would be nearly impossible to find I think. You now know the paint scheme though. Good luck with the project! It's a cool little bike.
Hi Everyone
Thank you from us , we are in Australia and would love to know how it made it's way out to a country town, two and half hours west of Brisbane, we pleased to have it now identifed with a catalgue photo as a"1939 Bikette" - Very Cool!! We are planning to "rustorate" it to stand beside our restored 1923 EM Australian Colonial Studebaker, by CCM Creek Street, Brisbane.
We took more photos today from underneath and it shows old red paint, we could also see that it screw mount points for guards. Mark McGuire, thank you for the catalogue page, that does seem to match up. I am a boilermaker by trade and the framework did not look like it had been adjusted from a trike.
We prefer to keep its current aged patina, but have today straighted the frame and respoked, from where it has obviously crashed and/or runover at some point in its life. Amazing it was not through to the dump, but rather up in an old shed.
Recently purchased a swap meet, I received many comments and laughs as I walked about with it slungh over shoulder.

If we can by any change get a larger version, to A4 size, so we can easily read the finer details, so we can print to display the "Bikette". Thank you, Mark and Lynne B
I have a very similair trike, its the 3 wheel version but looks identical and it better shape.
