Vintage CCM Ser# 6B967

Hello every one, my name is Ron Hiltz. my  project is an old CCM Bicycle ser # 6B967, I have started to strip it down to bear metal one part at a time and refinish it. This bicycle is large one with 28 29" tires and rims? I think it is what was refered to a "roadster".

It is quite rough shape, I will end up rebuilding the wheels late this fall, I will need to find a chain gard and a seat and find a handle bars and replacment post. The three piece bottom member is ok but the chain ring and crank arms are quite rusty!

The tires that I found with this bike will do for looks and I hope for a little riding.

So far after striping of the fenders, it looks like to original paint looked like a royal blue. It will take a lot of work to finish strip the frame and true it back in shape.

The reason for doing this is that, it is Canadian, I found it for free, and it is the same type of bike as the young man who taught me how to ride my first bike over 50 years ago!
