My nickname has been "Bikelady" for over 40 years. I used to be the person to go to for all the local kids needing bike repairs in a couple of small Ontario towns where I lived over the years, but now I live in London. My passion for bicycles has been long lasting and now that I'm retired, I can spend hours repairing or restoring bikes. The latest find is a barn fresh Cleveland CCM with the headbadge intact but only one handlebar grip, wooden pedals that someone made up and some wire holding parts together. The original seat is there, in rough shape, but nice to have it just the same.
A while back a gentleman by the name of Ron got a hold of me to tell me that his neighbour, Mike, in Winchester, ON, south of Ottawa, was selling off his vintage bike collection and I might want to take a look at it. Well I finally made it to Winchester this past Sunday and met these two fine gentlemen.
You see Ron is a truck driver, turned bicycle mechanic, who got his neighbour, Mike, hooked on collecting vintage bikes. Mike is a salesman who spends a lot of time on the road. What Mike could find, Ron could fix. It was a frienship made in bicycle heaven.
Below are some photos of Chris Lewis' CCMs at the 3rd annual E.C.W.T. bicycle show held this weekend in Moncton, New Brunswick. Thanks to Chris and the photographers for allowing me to share them. It's a great display!

Howdy folks..........Around about what year did CCM start producing the infamous double bar? When was the last year for the doublebar before the switch to the "camel back" single bar? Am I correct in thinking the doublebars were pre war?
This weekends Flytecycle .Up cruising the lakeshore road off Lake Erie.
