Hello,
Does anyone have an original catelogue picture or spec sheet for the Formula 1. I just aquired one but it seems to have gone through something of an "upgrade", at leat the bars and brake levers have been swaped out.
Thanks,
Daryl
Does anyone know what this faded head badge should read?
It appears to have a "ccm" squiggle at the top.
Hey everyone, just acquired this bike. The serial number is "G385080". After searching the internet for a little bit I believe this bike is from 1974. Can anyone verify? It's missing the pedals, stem, front brake cable, and derailer. I will post more pictures of it. Im not sure if the wheels are original to the bike or not. Thoughts on restoring it or making it into a single speed? - Greg
Hi,
I just picked up this old CCM. I think it may be c. 1970 but I'm not sure. It has a SuperCycle head badge but CCM seat tube decal. It has a Shimano Lark SS RD which Disraeli Gears puts at 1971. It has a Middlemore Saddle. Any thoughts?
Hi all
helping out a friend with his dad's '41 Cadet; it's complete but pretty beat up. So far need new cones and an axle for the Falcon front hub, plus at least a new lower crown race for the headset if not a completely new headset. Does anything interchange with more common American bikes? I compared the headset to a common 1" OPC/BMX headset I have and the races and bearing cups are totally different.
also, how does the bottom bracket come apart? Is the side opposite the chainring reverse thread?
HI there... I introduced myself in the other section but thought I would post my latest pick here. I just picked up a 1936 CCM Flyte that had been lingering in a shed out here in BC. It's in decent shape and all I will be doing is servcing it, finding the missing parts and riding it. i will be needing some black, beehive grips, a saddle, some Gibson pedal blocks and maybe a Hercules hub for parts.
Look forward to meeting you all...
Wayne
My parents bought me a new bike from Canadian Tire in 1980. It was a CCM Skyline (I think)... heavy steel frame with stanchioned forks in the front and coil shocks in the rear. It also had a wide and long moto-type seat and a fake plastic gas tank.
I've been trying to locate some pictures of one of these bikes, but no luck so far... hoping someone here can help me out.
Cheers!
