what length spoke is required for a v160 made in canada 18x 1 3/8 in. e4j rim with a sturmey archer aw hub?
Hello all, I have a late 60s cruiser by SCP (CCM) with a very badly pitted crown race. I am wondering if it is possible to remove these or if they are welded in place somehow. I will post a photo soon, but I was wondering if anyone here has experience with headset overhaul.
Thanks!
I've got a CCM Imperial Mark II (I believe) and I'm trying to find some tires that fits the rims. The size on the rim says 26 x 1 1/2, I think that means it's the old Canadian F12 size?
I did a bit of looking around and some people suggest the Kenda Schwinn S-7 Wire Bead Tire (26 x 1-3/4-Inch), will that fit on my bike?
hello everyone,
im sort of new to ccms but have always had a passion for bikes... i was given this imperial mark ii and from what ive read i think my model is from 1963....serial number CXXXX.... i will post pics as soon as i can find time, ive joined in hopes to pin point the exact year....my plan was to clean & paint the frame white and upgrade the bottom bracket and crank , wheelset and most other parts with new black parts....my issue is im unsure how to determine what to get for a bottom bracket and crank replacement. I would appreciate any info greatly.
Picked up a CCM Rambler Motorbike from a gentleman at the Brantford Winter Show. Thanks to Jamie, the first winter show was a great success and a lot of fun for my wife, Cori, and me. The chrome on the bike is in great shape. The bike appears to be all there except for an incorrect seat, handle grips and a less then desirable paint job. The serial number on the Rambler is 2H0656 which does not appear on the serial number chart (as the chart suggests XFXXXX for 1942). The gentleman that I purchased the Rambler from claimed it to be a 1942.
I would like to thank all who helped make the CVBS Winter Indoor Show&Swap a success. The snow must have scared a few away but we had lots of the hardcores as well, and got to meet many new faces. The wheeling and dealing was brisk as lots of treasure changed hands.I can see this event happening yearly from now on, hoping everyone agrees? All we need is your participation to attend and load up what you can. Thanks to Pleasant Valley Church for their facility which we almost filled. As a result we raised 900$ for the congregation.5 months today the 13th Annual CVBS rolls into town,
Hi folks,
I am restoring a '64 CCM one-speed and have appreciated previous help from this forum to get background on the bike.
I have a couple of follow-up questions:
1) The bike was originally dark blue frame with white fenders. Would the original seat have been two-tone blue and white? The current black seat is a replacement. Would the original handgrips have been white or blue? Any ideas on where to source a nice new seat and handgrips that would look more original?
hi could someone help me with this serial number ..thanks AL
Hello everyone !
I have just started restoring my loop frame bike last night. I am trying to determine the age. My seat tube is stamped with an odd serial number 8V0028. I say odd because the first 0 looks like its overstamped with a 1. My rear hub has the CCM patent for 1937, and it's serial number is 476831.
Everything looks to be pretty much original, with the rims and frame still having the pinstriping. I will try to add some pics. Not having much luck with that though.
Thought I'd share some close-up pictures of a restored 72' Marauder , enjoy!
(Indoor pictures were took earlier, that's why there's missing parts.)
