Need 1970s CCM IDed

I recently acquired this CCM, with a serial number CT6990. The number would indicate 1970 or 1971. It looks like it has been repainted, the original color may have been white?

1970 Gran Turismo, Grnad Prix, Formula 1?

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Early CCM Front Hub Questions

I'm in the process of preparing some nickel-plated hubs to be laced into two pairs of new wood rims I bought from Noah Stutzman in Ohio. Some questions have come up and I'm hoping someone here knows about the evolution of CCM's early front hubs. In the first photo, hubs 1 and 2 are nickel. Hub 3 looks chrome-plated but it's dull and not the shiny chrome of postwar bikes. Hub 1 is thicker than 2 and 3 and in the second photo you can see the bearing cup has a smaller surface area as a result.

Another RedBird

Hi, just picked up my second RedBird in two weeks. This one is probably much newer than my other. Still need to find the serial # but thought I'd post a couple pictures. Possibly sharper eyes than mine will know right away. Seems I'll be fighting a broken handlebar stem bolt and possibly seized stem but I've given it all a good dousing with PB Blaster penetratimng oil and I'll let it sit for a couple days as it just turned bitter here last night and my garage is unheated.

1938 Redbird

Hi Everyone, just bought what the seller says is a 1938 Redbird CCM. Already have a Marshall Wells Zenith badged early CCM that I know is the original paint job so I'm curious as to whether the Redbird came in this odd blue colour or if I need to attempt a strip job? Thanks for any help.

CCM ladies Bike - 1977

Some time ago, i got guidance on aging a CCM elite. I have the bike. It has a gold wreath around the CCM emblem. I see a similar bike on KIJIJI with the wreath which is  RAISED metal - what is the significance of that particular Bike? was it a special edition? The bike is a beauty..Burlington Ontario AD.

1967 CCM ?Rambler with different size wheels

I picked up a blue J-code CCM today with a duomatic rear hub in a 28 inch rear wheel. But the front wheel is 26 inch and it looks as though the front fork has been replaced.

The front rim is a match to the rear so it looks factory but i cannot be sure. Soea anyone know if this is factory wheel sizing?

This restored Flyte will be sold at the Carl Jolley Riding Toy Museum Estate Auction on Saturday February 18th, 2017 at the Rockford Auction Centre in Owen Sound.  A complete online catalogue with numerous photos is available through the web site: www.rockfordauctioncentre.com
