Some time back, John Williamson mentioned that during the Second World War, the Canadian military used some CCM bikes painted in Olive Drab, or some other military paint colour. I was wondering if anyone has ever seen or heard of a surviving bike with this paint job. These were certainly civilian bikes prior to 1944, and economy "War Grade" models towards the end of the war. A pair of these rims came off my 1916 Model F(or M). Has anyone seen ths trademark before? Is it possible they are original? Thanks in advance
Any suggestions what I should condition this seat with it is very dry and cracked. I would like to maintain it best I can. Thanks Rob
Who knows what year was the first year for white tipped rear fenders ?
if I understand it correctly, it became law that the rear fenders on bicycles were required
to be painted white for safety.
I see quite a few bikes with the lower part of the rear fenders have a 6 or 8" section painted white.
Can anyone provide the facts on it ?

i recently found a wood rim spoked it up and then found a 700c tire would not fit it was way to small but to my surprise a 27x1/4 fit perfect a 27 is bigger than a 28 this info may be of use to someone william rudolph
I recently aquirred this CCM prototype bicycle as well as two tool chests that belonged to Charles J Faith. Here's what I was told about it as well as things I've learned while looking it over and cleaning it.
I was told this bike was designed and built by Charles J Faith at CCM in Weston, Ontario. Charles worked at CCM in the 1940's as an engineer. Even though he was not a papered engineer he had this amazing ability to problem solve, build and create. All the employees admired him and looked up to him for advice and idea's.

i have a 458 Cleveland with a cracked headtube and a Model F with a cracked chainstay. Is it possible to remove the rear triangle from the bottom bracket and replace it assuming the parts fit properly?

Hello all,
I realize that what I am looking for may not be common, but you don't know until you ask. I am looking for correct rubber for a 1950/51 CCM balloon Motorbike. The 1951 catalogue lists 26x2, and a wise friend stated i need 26x2.125. I would love white walls, but would settle for black. Everything on bike is original except for the rubber. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.
