Here's one I've got in a box. Sorry it's the only pic I have for now. It's a very large men's frame with a Fauber crank (patent 1898?). It has the US style angled drops, typical Massey CCM pinstripes and closed fork ends. I don't recall finding a serial number on it. It had no wheels but did have partial fenders and pedals. I'd welcome any info about it.
Found this really rough bike in a local junkyard that has been around since the '60s. The frame is too far gone but the head badge is very unique and I can't find another example on the internet. Serial number comes up as a 42.
New in the shop today is this Model 456 Cleveland. I'd like some help dating it as it has no letter in its 4 digit serial number 6278.
I'm not sure if this is from the 1970s. I used to ride it to work, years ago. It has been in the loft or our garage for a LONG time. Oddly, the inner tubes seem to be in good shape; but I can't say the same for the tires. I pumped them up and they've held their own for about a week know. How they will hold up on the road, I don't know.
Hi, I have a Brantford Blackbird bicycle and am looking for any information regarding its history. Cannot find any information trough normal channels.
This bike was also a barn find. The colour of it makes me think the owner must have worked for the city and had some leftover paint from painting lines on the roads. The sprocket is labelled CCM, so unless it is a replacement my guess is its a CCM bike. The crest is gone however. The seat is a 1950's vinyl and it is has a sheepskin seat cover of unknown vintage. The kickstand on it is not a style I've seen before and I am wondering if it is original to the bike as well.
This bike was a barn find so I know nothing about it. I know the seat isn't original as it didn't have the seat or seat post when I found it. From reading other forum items I know that Crown bikes were made in the 1930s. It has the same sprocket as the blue CCM bike I have. Looking at it I would say the pedals and handle bars were replaced at sometime. In one spot by the sprocket you can see the original paint, it is the same brown colour the blue CCM had been and it shows some gold pin striping.
This is the second bike I have to date. It has no crest or items identifying the manufacturer, so information on that would be welcomed as well. It had been owned by an artist in Dresden Ontario. She had been gifted it by an elderly lady friend who had used it to get around town in her youth. All the parts on it look to me to be original, the handle grips have reflectors on the end and it has a plastic bicycle licence for Chatham On from 1965. It had been repainted just prior to me acquiring it in about 2020.
Just picked this up yesterday. It's got a Garry badge on the front. I'm not quite sure how to reead this serial number though?
Anyone have any insight?
Thanks
