Hello all, I need help with a problem I have encountered. I'm putting back together a delivery bike, the sprocket is loose on the crank arm, the little stub that sticks out seems to be too big???. It looks to be for a thicker sprocket, which leads me to believe maybe it's not correct for this bike. THE serial number says it's a 1949, the sprocket has a dish too it. It looks nothing like My other bikes of the same era.
I recently got both these bikes. Wondering if anyone has leads on where to get a few parts and aswell as info on them
The redbird is a nice riding bike. Theres something thats supposed to be on the seat tube. what is that? I seen it in catalog, Also what redbird model is this? they all kinda look the same. lol.
The mustang has a odd 18' rear rim that apparently takes a 20x2x1 3/4 tire. anyone know where to get such a tire? and a chainguard for it.
I was looking for an Imperial or a Rambler for myself and came across a fellow in Edmonton that had a couple of vintage bikes for sale this past weekend. I'm a long haul truck driver and constantly check the areas I'm traveling through. Keeps me motivated:) Unfortunately the seller was of small stature and there's no way the bike will fit me. (6'1")
It's a sweet little bike and my wife it's actually interested in it.
Hi,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a forum thread or site on Canadian sizing for bicycle wheels? I have a bicycle (early '70's) that seems to have a radial warp in the front wheel...although the 26" tire my be seated too tightly if the rim if the sizing is off. The rim is relatively radially true except for a small bump near the rim weld which I can't resolve. THinking it may be more the fitting of the tire...
Thanks and take care,
Daryl
Couple of guys from the Vancouver vintage bike scene have moved to Victoria and are trying to get a club going there for some vintage rides.
These guys are fun people so this should work out well.
We would be interested in finding Mark Elford who has some Massey- Harris bikes, and see if he wants to get some riding done.Any contact information would be helpful.
Cheers,
Lawrence
This woman sent me a bad picture of a bike and the headbadge said ''Gary'' then Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary on it.
The bike looks 1920s What the heck is it?
The picture won't post.
Anyone know when they started making the encore? Or have any idea when serial number A775839 could be from?
The 1964 CCM one-speed is back in motion: better, stronger, faster.
Thanks to participants of this site for helping me date the bike, and for comments and advice on the components.
Thanks to Wayne for the decals, and John for supporting the blog.
The bike is returning to its owner in Kingston.

I just found these 1942 through 1945 Chatham Ontario bicycle plates at a car show in a car vendors licence plate box. Thought they would be nice to dress up my 1930 Rambler and 1945 CCM. The same fellow said he had a 1943 Windsor. Ontario plate and would let me know when he finds it.
