Vintage CCM Bicycles

Use this forum to discuss all things related to vintage CCM bicycles including Rambler, Flyte, Mustang etc.

Reason Why

I encourage anyone wishing to learn more about CCM bikes to register on the site and here's why. Since the site has gone up, I've gotten many personal emails form folks wanting more information about a particular bike they have - its age, its value etc. While I've been able to help some, many I have not. I am not an expert on CCM bikes. But there are experts out there. Some are on this site; some are not. Either way, most would see your request and in many cases be able to provide the information you are seeking.

CCM Brand Names

Looking at a 1926 catalogue the other day, I was struck by the different brand names (as opposed to model names) used by CCM over the years.

CCM Flyer

I'm looking for any CCM Flyer bicycles or any parts marked CCM Flyer which should include wheels, hubs, cranks, etc.  With respect to actual bicycle frames they must have enough original paint to see the original decals otherwise there are too many discrepancies between these and other bikes.  Other than this only a physical examination can determine whether they truly are Flyers.  If a bike is in Ontario I certainly would come and look at it to ascertain whether it is an original Flyer.  The one bicycle I am most interested in is any Goold made in Brantfor

Ever seen a CCM Flyte with english bottom bracket?

Im new to this site and love the idea, CCM bikes are way under rated in the collecting hobby.

Ive got a 1937 CCM Flyte with a english style threaded bottom bracket so it has a set of CCM cotter pin cranks.

Ive never seen another CCM of that era with such a thing, have any of you? I just got a second Flyte frame of the same year but it has a normal BB so I can put on the more prefered triplex cranks.

Here are pictures of  some of my collecton.

My Collection

This is my album of pics ranging from in progress projects to finished bikes. Most are still projects waiting to be started.

CCM Voyageur

Got a note form a lad who grew up in Canada, but has lived in the States for the past 25 years. He just bought what he says is a CCM Voyageur and would like to get any info on it that he could. I must confess I'm not familiar with that model. Does anyone out there have any info. If so, please post here or let me know and I will forward his email address.

CCM Flyte production numbers?

Does anyone have an information on how many Flytes with the curved forks were made?  Or even a educated guess at numbers?

Is anyone who worked for the company during Flyte production in 1937 to 1940 still alive??

Regards

Gavin

CCM Delivery

Has anyone seen this listed on Kijiji?

Cool bike...but pricey...$750 + shipping. Missing its stand and seems to me the front fender as well as the seat and pedals have been replaced.

CCM FLYER

Greetings everyone!

I posted the following at BIKE FORUMS the other day.

Headbadges

I know there's a chart dating CCM bicycles by their serial number, does anyone know if there is anything similar out there dating the various headbadges the company used?
