Hi All, long time reader and first time poster,
I am restoring a vintage CCM Motorbike 1928.
I like to know what color, apart of black, was available at this period.
So awhile back i looked into getting reproduction ccm badges made, i looked at 2 methods. Making a sand cast and stamping out full blown re pops, other method is acid ethicing. Ive gotten prices to do minimum 100 runs, i have a mint 1940'S round badge that i used for the pricing and as a template. Would anyone be interested in buying them if i went and did one of these runs? Its not fucking cheap to do this and if theres a big market id go ahead and do the stamped run.
has anyone made reproductions of the gibson pedal end caps or anyone have a bunch of new old stock. miricales yes. william rudolph
hello,
i was given this imperial mark ii .ive joined in hopes to pin point the exact year....my plan was to clean & paint the frame and upgrade the bottom bracket and crank .... im unsure how to determine what to get for a bottom bracket and crank replacement. I hoping someone can help with some specifics on how to determine shell width and appropriate spindle length.
Why is the serial number 19? Anyone seen anything like this? It does not fit in the normal serial number database.
Here is the complete bike.
I assume these were made by CCM.Can anyone confirm this and do the serial number dating for ccm apply? Thanks
Alright, I tried to jump on Relic's thread about his Imperial but got no response, so I guess I'll do this the right way and start my own topic. I have this Imperial Mark 4 that unfortunately came to me with a bit of a rough re-paint so I'm just sort of slapping it together as a beach cruiser with a springer fork and some white wall balloon tires. The only serial # that I could find was on the left rear drop out and it is E184976. As I mentioned in Relics thread, it seems to me that this bike is older than '63 as the "E" in the serial # might suggest.
Does anyone know how long CCM produced the Rambler. The earliest catalogue I have with it is 1939 and the latest is 1941, but I'm missing a number of catalogues around that time frame. Anyone know? Thanks,
John
I recently picked up this Imperial along with a 1938 Rambler and an old Suprcycle. The Imperial S/N is J050350. Does anybody know what year it would be? I'm guessing mid 1960s.
