Here's a bike a few here may find interesting. It was rescued from a barn 20+ years ago and was brought to my Dad to do a restoration on. It was built by CCM for "Little Bobby Bentley" who was 6 years old at the time for some form of track racing. I was told the bike is from 1932, but can not find any serial numbers to comfirm. He did have paperwork from when the bike was built, but kept that when he gave it to my Dad for work. My dad has not heard from him in years. Anyways, here are a few shots of the beast.
Hi Guys, Has anyone found a source for 28X 13/4 tires that have a good vintage look? You can still get the 28X 1/2 `s easily enough, but I need some 1 3/4`s that have the right "look". Don`t want a modern looking tread pattern. Let me know, Cheers! ~MERK
A buddy and myself (in the back) around 1962 on our CCM roadsters.
Anyone else got an old (or new) shot of themselves on a vintage bike?
If so, don't be shy, throw it up here.
I am wondering if anyone has information on this particular bicycle. I know it`s a 28" wheeled bike. Wondering what colors it came in. I just purchased this bike and it needs complete restoration. Any info would be appreciated
I am new to vintage bicycles and I purchased this ccm humprey with serial # 5b451. I was hoping someone here could help me with it's age? Thanks in advance Dave Wilson
Great shot of an early 20th century Massey-Harris dealer in Brantford, ON.
http://s917.photobucket.com/albums/ad20/dobie45/UNKNOWN/ I recently acquired this bike. It may be an early CCM build, but ????. It has some great parts on it from the round glass taillight to the major Taylor stem, early bars and "old sol" light. My question is : Does anyone recognize the frame?; it has very distinctive knobs/knurls top & bottom on the headtube. It has a CCM Model T crankset. It is a large early 1900s frame w
Received the following note from Roger at the Halifax Cycle Gallery:
I've got a Spin Cycle from Yarmouth Nova Scotia, basically a rebranded CCM.
I've rebuilt the wheels with new spokes only to find out that there is no
availability in 40-571, 26 x 1-1/2 tires. Do you have any idea where I might
find a set of replacement tires for this classic old bicycle.
Any ideas? Wayne?
