HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF A LAMP MADE FROM CCM PARTS, THE MAIN FOCUS IS THE EXPLODED 1937 HUB, WHICH WAS THE MAINSTAY OF CCM BIKES UNTIL THE 50s. IT WAS MADE FOR ME BY MY BY MY PAL, BILL RUDOLPH, A NEMBER ON THIS SITE. THE DETAIL IS EXTRAORDINARY. HE ALSO MAKES TABLES, WALL HANGINGS, ETC FROM BIKE PARTS. http://s917.photobucket.com/albums/ad20/dobie45/1937%20CCM%20HUB%20LAMP/
Doing research for friends bike. What better place to come for information.
Hello every one, my name is Ron Hiltz. my project is an old CCM Bicycle ser # 6B967, I have started to strip it down to bear metal one part at a time and refinish it. This bicycle is large one with 28 29" tires and rims? I think it is what was refered to a "roadster".
It is quite rough shape, I will end up rebuilding the wheels late this fall, I will need to find a chain gard and a seat and find a handle bars and replacment post. The three piece bottom member is ok but the chain ring and crank arms are quite rusty!
Hi All, I am new to the forum and new to CCM bikes, was a Schwinn man up unitl a month ago, these bikes seem fun and are plentiful in my neck of the woods. OK, I have what looks to be a CCM rambler or imperial, however it says National on the headbadge, what gives?
Hi folks: I'll share some eye candy with you. The past weekend, myself and a couple of others were invited to display bicycles at this annual event in Truro, NS. I dragged along a dozen of mine, CCMs included. The festival rocked..starting at 11 AM Friday and ending at 8:00 PM Sunday. When thwe stage shows ended at approx 1:00 in the AM, the venue moved to a "JAM Session" tent for another couple of hours. An event not to be missed.
Hi to all,
would like to know if anyone knows the year of this bike. Says CCM Redbird, Has wood rims.
I acquired this bike recently from a relative. I can't really find any identification or serial numbers on it, or any indication of make/model. So I'd like to know what I have here, when it was likely made, etc. And yes, I know the front fender is on backwards. Thanks for any info.
Hello
I am new to this so I hope you bear with me
I have two questions/problems
I have an "old" CCM bicycle...I was told around the 1950s, how do I identify it?
lastly...the tires on this bike are 28x1.5...I order new ones...28X1.5 but they are too big....where can I get tires??
I purchased a CCM ballooner/middleweight here in New Zealand from a man who had lived in Canada sometime earlier in his life and he claimed it to be from the 1950's. It has all the characteristic Ballooner traits except the F.12 (S-7) rims and tires of 26" x 2" x 1 3/4". It's VERY unlikely these were later added as the frame only has a single top tube. However, the serial number is more like that of a 1940's bike being 9V3996. That V as a second digit is not mentioned ANYWHERE.
