I just got this plate and was wondering how it would have been attached. I would like to put it on my vintage CCM Imperial II. Does it go on the front or back wheel?
Anyone suggest how to best remove what I believe is called the "Driven Clutch" piece from the hub shell? Thanks
Anyone able to tell me if Phillips "Vitesse" pedals are the same as Phillips Credalux pedals? I am wanting to buy a pair of Vitesse pedals for a 39 Flyer. Thanks

Sorry for the newbie question but what threading are the old (1937) sprockets on CCM coaster brake hubs. When I saw it was a threaded sprocket I kinda assumed it would be the same threading as the current fixed-gear standard. But I obviously assumed wrong. Mostly a curiosity question as don't think I will try to re-use the hub.

I'm a new forum member. Based in Victoria BC. Yesterday I saw an old bike in a junk pile. Had a look and it looked old and interesting. But I was in a hurry. I went back this morning and picked it up.
The serial is an 3Axxxx and looking at pictures it definitely looks like a 1937 Ladies model.
I have been working on bikes for a long time now. But it's my first actually old CCM.

Based on serial number(X26991), this bike is 1935 but i cannot determine what model. I look at the catalog for that year on this site and there are a couple of bikes that look like it. Can anyone tell?
Also, i was told the saddle is not original. Any body selling the original one?
Are the fenfers/chain guard original to the bike? In the catalog, most models didnt have any
Good day! I purchase this bike because of the shifter to be honest. But was pleasantly surprised at the condition so I will probably keep it intact. I've seen a few around online and am just curious if there's any literature on this model and what year it actually came out in! The hub says '66, the frame says '71 or '63 ? The pedals say late 60's to me. The shifter as well. 26" wheels. Thoughts?! Thanks! Doug
Up until 1949 most CCM bikes came with badges that had cutouts (except war year decals). In early years the metal cards inserted behind the badges had model numbers stamped on them. Later cards just had colour, eg. red.
I have 2 questions:
- Which years had these coloured cards (or when did this stop)?
- Did all bikes in a given year have colour card inserts or were they reserved for certain models or grades of bikes?

I have this (whatI think is a 1950's roadster) and the fork looks bent. Can anyone tell from the picture if this might be the case? I know some vintage bike forks seem to "sweep" back before the forward rake bend.
