valve stems

did the ccm muscle bikes use metal or rubber valve stems. thanks william rudolph.

31mm steer tube bore

anyone know what years CCM used a 31mm steer tube bore? I went to change out the headset in what appears to be a 46 twin bar and the bore is 31 mm. My 64 and 67 CCMs have the common 30mm bore but I havent ever checked my older bikes.

duomatic

can anyone tell me which duomatic hub was used on the ccm muscle bikes the model 515 which hade to be screwed out of the hub to take apart or the onethat could be taken apart when the cones were removed this sounds like a job for    duomatic   thanks william rudolph.

Broken Flyte Front fork

i have heard a lot about the front fork on the Flyte being susceptible to breaking. i am wondering if anyone has ever had one break on them or if they know of someone who did.

I am riding mine a lot right now and wonder if this is myth or fact? The one flight I had before, had been ridden so much that the chrome on the front cranks had been worn away from the riders pant legs and the Gibson pedals had been worn away thru to the bearings, yet the original fork was still on there.

I LOVE riding it but the stories have me wondering, yet skeptical, about the breaking forks.

Info on this Ennwell light

Wondering if anyone has any info on this Ennwell light?

It was on a 1936 CCM that I picked up.

Thanks in advance!

My New Baby Flyte

It took me about two weeks to track this beauty down and pick it up.  Pretty amazing.  About 30 mins from my house.  Originally found in an old barn just outside of Kelowna B.C., its been ripped apart, cleaned and pollished.  I picked it up last night, went on a 15km ride around the Vancouver sea wall, put on the big bar this morning, she agreed to a little photo shoot and now shes tucked in for a good night sleep.

Massey 355

I am posting for an acquaintance that I met on another frorum and is awaiting approval on his Vintage CCM membership. This not my bicycle. I haven't seen it in person. All I've seen are the photos that I'm posting on his behalf. He's looking for age and any information. Reportedly, everything works well on it. Here's what I told him:

Due to the heavy rain this week and last night... the bike show this week-end is cancelled !!!

Please spread the word to those you know !

Jody's property is soaked and will not be dry in time for the Sunday show !!!

Sorry to be posting this bad news on Jamie's behalf !!!

Screeching 37 CCM hub

So I just did a re and re on the CCM 37 hub on the Flyte. Completely cleaned, wire wheeled all gunk and greased all parts. I even bought a cylinder oner and honed the heck out of them. Just like my other 37 hub it started to screech after several long rides.

Not Safe For Bike Weirdos...
