'67 Mustang

From Deryk

Hi, I've got a 1967 CCM Mustang that I'm looking to clean up and get riding again - however, the spokes are shot and there is no chain. I'm wondering what size of chain / sprocket size this bike used (I noticed modern chain wouldn't fit, the links are too small / narrow.) I'm also having a heck of a time finding spokes for these size rims. I've got a 'Paragon Stud' 20 x 2 x 1 3/4 tire on the rear, and a 'Veith Extra Prima' 20 x 1 3/8 tire on the front.

Replacement Fork on Balloon Model

I broke the steer tube on a 1938 26" wheel frame. Everything on the bike indicates it is a balloon frame the first year they were made. However this fork doesnt have to correct curve and has a deep chrome cap over the crown. The catalogue says the crown is aupposed to be enameled.

From looking through photos it looks like the fork is a generic replacement or maybe from a late 40's or 50's balloon ccm but i dont really know. Maybe it is original?

Anybody see a fork like this around?

Thanks in advance

1899 Lozier Cleveland Model 66

I bought this Cleveland at the same farm auction in Almonte where John picked up his Ivanhoe Model 60. I believe it to have all its original parts. I thought it was black, but a friend who helped clean up the paint insists it's dark green. I'm a little colour blind so it's hard for me to tell. I wonder if black paint might look greenish after aging for 118 years.  I thought I'd put this in the CCM bike forum because it was made by one of the five founding companies that made up CCM. The hub is a fixie - no coaster brake - and it has straight spokes.

CCM Ivanhoe 60

An early photo of a CCM Ivanhoe 60 cushion frame. I bought this bike at an auction today just down the road from where I live. It was complete except for the lamp which the family says might still be in the house. They're going to check. Will post more pics when I have them.

Delivery Bike Wheels

My 1935 delivery has a Falcon front hub and a Perry rear with 14 gauge spokes. The rims have been repainted but i can see black paint w gold pin striping underneath.

According to the 35 catalogue whic was recently uploaded (thanks very much) it should have a Hercules rear hub so the perry is obviously incorrect. Does anyone know if the falcon front is original? The catalogue doesnt give that information.

The spokes are 14 gauge. From perusing the forums they shoud be 12 gauge?

Cleveland Inquiry

Hello I want to know if the model Cleveland 22 is a child model?
And what is the difference with model 44 ...

New member help me ID these bikes

I came across a collection of vintage bikes in storage recently (all quite poor condition) while out looking at some older road bikes. Anyhow, I've attached some pictures as I'm struggling to identify a couple of the bikes.

The first is a CCM "Standard" with what I would call a skip tooth sprocket. There is a few layers of paint so I neglected to try and locate the serial number (I assume on the seat tube).  I'm trying to determine the year of the bike as seems quite old to my untrained eye.

Video of Screeching Hub... HELP!

So another noisy hub. Shot this video to show exactly what it sounds like. This is the worst one by far, but all the 37s screech somewhat, even after servicing. Any Ideas?
