Hi everyone, My name is Curtis and I just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to join the forum and share your passion for vintage CCM bikes. I live in Thunder Bay Ontario so the middle of nowhere. Plenty of old bikes here and as I volunteer with Bicycles for Humanity, I see my share of CCM bikes as well as numerous others. Fun to fix or tinker with the bikes and it helps me stay active and out of the wife's way now that I'm retired. At one time several years ago I had 31 bikes of various styles and manufacturers clogging up my garage.
Don Farmer, whom many of you know, asked me to post a couple of Flyte nuggets he found in a 1936 edition of the CCM company magazine VIM, which was recently given to him as a birthday present. Don sends these with Chrsitmas greetings to CCM collectors everywhere.

From Toronto, now live in Niagara region, love to ride out in the vinyards. I just bought a older CCM from Toronto and love it. About to restore it now. Strip it all down and replace some parts. Great bikes, i can't wait to get this beauty going and ride it. It's a cruiser type, i used to have one and lost it to Toronto years ago, now another will replace my joy.
Hello,
great to see a site dedicated to CCM bikes. My wife and I are new at vintage bikes and are looking forward to restoring our first two bikes. 1967 Duomatics; his and hers. Any suggestions and advice would be great. the bikes we have are in good shape with the usual pitted chrom and surface rust. We are going to tear them down and rebuild them; repainting the frames and getting the seats upholstered.
