Hi, new guy here....

Howdy!  I'm thrilled to find this site :) What is stated on the front page is correct - there isn't enough info on the web about CCM so I'm glad to see that the collective knowledge hopes to fill in the gaps. In the past I have owned a 1940-something Flyer track bike, a 36 or 37 Flyte, a 40's balloon tire bike and others (all of which are now living elsewhere). Now I have a 1970's 'delivery' bike missing the basket frame. I found the site because I recently acquired a 1952 or 53 CCM 9 speed which John has suggested might be a Prolite Flyer.

Not sure why folks choose to post under "anonymous" rather than use their login. Quicker, maybe?

Problem is that any comment entered anonymously has to be approved before being posted. This could mean a substantial delay before it actually appears on the site. Comments posted by those who are logged in do not need approval and go directly to the site. It's much more immediate, so I encourage folks to log in when posting.

Anyone who does not have a login can get one by clicking on Register in the upper right hand corner of the Home Page.

Photos, Please!

Would love to see some photos of the bikes being discussed.

New Guy From Hamilton

Just stumbled across this site and I was hit with the feeling of " FINALLY"!  I have only been collecting bikes for 3 years but have really grown to love the CCM's and the history of the company. I have several in my stable, no show bikes but thats alright by me. I mostly dig the ballooners but have a few skinny tire bikes. Looking forward to seeing this site grow and being a part of it. Heres a breakdown of what I got as of now.

BtfdRedbird introduction

Hi.  I just found this site and wish to thank the creator of same, which I expect is John, as he has the oldest post, being October 2010.  I have a number of vintage bicycles the majority of which are CCMs.  The oldest is a turn of the century, 1899-1902, CCM Brantford Redbird, Special Model 57 in original condition save and except for the wood wheels that have been refinished and respoked.  This is a fixed gear track bike which used predominately Goold Bicycle Company components, which company was one of the five original amalgamated companies forming CCM.  It

CCM Flyte owner in New Zealand

Hiya people,

I am lucky to be the third generation to own a 1937 CCM Flyte that was bought new by my great uncle and passed to my father and now me.   I am always looking for spares or another bike!

Hi, I'm John

Howdy folks,

My name is John. I live in Perth, Ontario, with my wife Zeta. We have three grown children and four grandchildren. I currently have a few CCM bicycles, a couple of tricycles and a cyclet, photos of which I will post as time goes on. I invite others to do the same.
