Hello CCMers
recently aquired a ccm Flyte and am wondering where the serial number should be located?
looking to determine what year it is and then decide if I should restore it or move it along, sorry no pics at the moment ...any help is appreciated
=pd=
This worn beauty measures about 18" x 24". On a heavier cardboard. Has the support flap (like on picture frames), allowing it to stand upright. I'm going to have it framed.
Picked up this neat child's bicycle last week. Has head badge with CCM, Columbia and Weston on it. But can't seem to find another online. The fact that it's "made" in Weston, it's probably not earlier than 1917.
It has solid rubber tires, no serial number, single hand brake, fenders with "Little Giants" emblem on it. The closest to it online is a Colson Fairy child's bike from the 1920s. https://oldbike.wordpress.com/1920-colson-childs-fairy-bicycle/
I have the original rear fender. Missing front and chain guard.
Might hunt them down sometime, but I like the clean no-nonsense look it has without tins.
the original purple finish is in great shape. I broke it down completely. Cleaned, removed rust from chrome, treated the inside of every tube with Boshield. Lubed it up & reassembled. I found NOS Norco rear slick. Was going to use a Trelleborg, but I figured I'd keep it as Canadian as possible.
Hi all - just got approved on the forum (thanks John), and wanted to introduce myself and post a question.
I've been over on the bikeforums C&V subforum for years: I have a lot of different styles I like. Relevant to this forum, I wanted to share what I think is a late 30s Road Racer.
Hi,
Picked up this roadster at a garage sale. I would like to find out the year of production but I can not find the serial number. I can only figure that it has been filled in with paint. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Spotted this 1938 CCM used as a prop in front of a cafe by the Notre Dame Basilica in old Montreal. Serial number 3B6576. Will try to upload photo from my phone.
I have a 1947 CCM girls bike in good condition for sale. It needs brakes fixed.
Make an offer.
John
Hi, I need some help in identifying a bike I recently acquired. It appears to be all original, and rides beautifully. I do need to replace a spoke on the back wheel, but that's not much to complain about. I will attach a photo of the bike, serial number, and a detail or two. Thanks!
