Old CCM bikes

Hello all.

I'm a newb here, so green I don't know the color of grass yet, and I'm in for the long haul.

I have inherited my Father's bicycle, and I think it is old.

I have a couple of vin's I'd like to know the dates of manufacture.

Just tell me where I can find this info ... and I'm there.

Thanks ....

One is stamped E88401

         the other is X35366

CCM bicycle

I have a ccm bicycle that I am restoring.

26x11/2" wheels

It has the brass ccm head badge, the lower forks are  bent forward.

Crank has the ccm logo

Originally it was white with red decals.

Serial number is     C56888

By the serial chart here it look as if it is a 1963 model,

what would the numbers mean ?

Will post a pic. as soon as I can get one.

regards,

TJ

Trying to ID CCM Bicycle

Today I acquired a Vintage CCM Woman's 5 Speed Bicycle. I do not know what model it is, but have managed to find what appears to be the serial number. Based on some research I have done, since the serial number starts with "D", it is from 1924(The serial number is D246167). I am not sure if that is true or not because it appears to not be from that time. Any help in ID'ing the age and the model would be greatly appreciated. Pictures of the bike and the serial number are attached.

Centennial Tires?

Was the 1967 Centennial originally sold with whitewall tires or blackwalls? In Google images some appear with whitewalls and some don't. If someone knows the actual brand and model of tire that would be helpful too. Thanks in advance.

Rambler?/Decals?

Hi,

I just completed service on this 1961 Rambler or what I think is a Rambler.  Any thoughts.  Serial# starts with a "B".

It was refinished by the owner several decades ago and now they want a proper paint job.  Any thoughts on where I could find the correct decals for it?

Thanks and take care, Daryl

Wheel mount on Fltye forks.... and seat lugs...

Has anyone seen any different ways CCM mounted the wheel in the fork on the curved fork CCM Flyte?

I have seen the axle cutaway in the "side".... ie to the down side of the fork when in place, forward if you pulled the fork straight).

I have also seen a style that has the wheel in the end of fork with the cutaway in the middle,... ie with metal taps above and below the wheel when in place.   Has anyone seen this type before?

Chain wheel removal

Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions, tools or magic for removing the drive side nut holding the chain wheel to the crank on a 1961 Rambler?

The large dust cap prevents me from getting standards tools to take a good bite.

It looks to be right hand thread, but most forms say left handed?

Thanks and take care,

Daryl

MYSTERY BIKE

Hello all! So i ws driving today doing some errands when i came across a used bike shop. Whatcaught my eye were the 2 ccm right out front one a 1935 mens roadster all oringinal except no badge and different back fender. The other was a 1941 roadster all pieced together with different parts, but cheap. Guy wants a;ittle to much for the 35 then i thinks its worth. I went inside and found this old wooden rim race bike, very lightweight frame but super thick tubing, head badge is a W made out of copper. The front hub says ccm, and is 1/4.

Cheetah

The Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa is looking for a high resolution copy of a Cheetah bicycle
advertisement for a web project they are preparing.

Can you help them out? if so, let me know and I'll provide you the contact info.
