G'day from Merrickville, Ontario

I am so glad that there are other CCM fanatics out there. I was beginning to think I was the only one. There aren't many of us on Bikeforums.net, Oldroads.com, or the C.A.B.E.. I have been at this crazyiness for approx. 25 years and have amassed a few CCMs(52) over the years. This site is a great idea because there isn't a whole lot on the subject on the web. We can put some order to the history of this great Canadian company. Ride on!!!

my collections

Goodday all  I collect a lot of different "things" & my main theme is "MADE IN CANADA"  My first love is antique gas engines & one of my favorites is a "Russell" circa 1819 Automobile engine. I have a few C.C.M. bikes--A Cleveland 1B2131,a Cressant T11342, C.M.P. A1564 & a C.C.M. 79E321--all in as found condition. I also collect sales literature & catalogs on anything mechanical & have some pre 1900 bike  items, Also I have a small collection of bike name plates that includes some N.O.S. C.C.M. & off brands used to retag.

Hey gang.Just got into the vintage bicycle thing kinda by accident.A body man by trade one day I was delivering a car to an old farm and when I got there the old guy was cleaning out an old shed that was half  fallen down.I took a quick look inside and saw a little green mustang.I told him I had one of those when I was growing up.He said if I wanted it to take it away because he was going to send it for scrap.Well when I was putting it in the back of the truck the old guy gave me another ALL PRO girls bike to go with it.Now I have 6 bikes and do yard sales on a regular basis.

Greetings from Montreal

Just came across this site in the last few days. Looks like a great resource for collectors and those who admire Canadian bikes.

Hope this community grows as there is little information currently available for CCM bikes, despite the long history.

I have ordered the book and look forward to reading through it as well!

What's Up? New to the site

Hello everyone!  It's Erik here, and I'm new to the vintageccm site and forums.  I stumbled across this after attending the show in Brantford (totally awesome) and couldn't resist signing up.  I've got a thing for riding and fixing up rusty old CCM's, so it looks like I will be right at home here.

Hello from the Virginia coal fields

Hello all,I found this site while trying to find information on a recent bike find (CCM,of all things,LOL),and thought it would be neat to join,as it looks like a decent group.

Anyways,Husband to one wife (soon to be ex),Dad to 2 kids,37,disabled vet (though my injuries/disability didn't come from militery service),drove a truck long haul from coast to coast after service (that's where they came from, the truck, and a co-driver who liked to sleep while driving, haha!),and now like I said,I'm "retired" (disabled).

New Guy

Hello All. I am a old bicycle nut.. I like all makes and models. but mostly pre 1950 stuff. I have a few ccm's. one of my regrerts was selling a gt101 with the 2 speed hub . I have got a 1946  cadet  ladies biike, about a 1965 camel back and a newly aquired 1930 Clevland double bar (camel back). I am in Prince George BC, old bikes are hard to find here as, i think the first paved road here was 1962. .This is a most interesting, site lots of good stuff. I will be trying to pick your brains about my 1930 and others. Canadian Pickers

OK 'fess up. Who watches American Pickers? I must confess the first couple of times I watched it, I didn't much care for it. But as time went on it grew on me and, now, well I guess I'm hooked.
