Good day CCM collectors. My name is Richard Bacon from Rosemere, Quebec. I've been collecting classic bikes for 15 years now, mostly Whizzer motorbikes. You can see some of my stuff at: http://www.whizzerick.com
Spring is here and I'm off to Copake NY this Friday for the annual swap meet and bicycle auction. Always a great event.
Hello! I have about 4-5 old CCM's by this point, so I thought I'd better sign up around here. My wife rides a ladies ballooner (somebody off the facebook page guessed '38), and she's also got a really modified 26x 1-3/8 wheeled ladies bike I did up for one of the RatRodBikes.com buildoff a couple years back. (hopefully you guys are not too put off by that type of thing.... the frame's still totally stock!
Just wanted to say hello to all. I've been checking out this site for a while and enjoy learning something new everytime I return! I only have 4 CCM bikes and a few other brands and like most on here, always looking for another!!! Biking on the beach strip and ice cream at Hutch's! Hamilton CCM
The loop frame is a work in progress! The tandem has been on two rides to the beach strip so far this month! Both were aquired in the last six months.
I found a used Brooks B33 saddle that looks like it is fresh out of the box.
The mountian bike saddle is gone, replaced with the Brooks which adds a bit of flash to the patina bike.
Got out on the pathways today for a 20 Klm. ride and snapped this photo along the Bow river prior to the wind and snow returning to Calgary.
Hi everyone, I have been lurking around this forum for the pat little while, and thought I would introduce myself. I have recently got into older bikes. My first project was a 20" 1967 Schwinn Typhoon that I fixed up for my kids to cruise around on. More recently I have been wanting to get in to CCM bikes as they are Canadian and I thought it would be good to get into Canadian bikes.
Hey all, I am new here thought I would introduce myself
Hi Folks,
I'm Greg from Victoria. I haven't been in the hobby very long so please bear with me
I picked up my first project bike yesterday; a mystery men's standard or rambler. Why the mystery you ask? The serial number doesn't match with the lists I've been able to find.
Hello. My name is Aaron, and I have recently gotten into CCM bikes, having acquired a 1951 Rambler at a yard sale last year. Since then, I have acquired a 60's girls rambler and, more recently, a 1971 CCM Cobra that is in need of a restoration. I hope to build up this Cobra while interacting with the community and learning more about this great Canadian company!
Aaron
I have been riding my 1947 on the Calgary pathways the last couple of weekends.
Thanks to members Hotrodrob and William Rudolph for sending me parts such as rear axle and bearings the bike is back in service.
The 37 hub braking capability is a little weak, planning a stop is a must. How much pedal play is typical on these hubs, 15 degrees rotation?
A period correct saddle is next on my shopping list, the headset badge is from a later date, tires, tubes and chain are new.
