Year and approximate value

Hello I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me the year and approximate value of my CCM bicycle?

Thank you

1974 CCM Elite 5speed

Last week I purchased a complete working CCM Elite in reasonable condition with a 23" frame. It is equipped with a Shimano Tourney rear derailleur and clunky looking Shimano shifter. Last summer I was given an Elite Mixte also 1974 according to the F serial#. It was equipped with a Sun Tour Honor rear derailleur and Sun Tour shifter. I'm sure the mixte was original as it was a one owner bike and they did not recall any work being done on it. The 23" frame mens bike appears to be oriinal as well ecept the saddle. Would this have been common to use varous shifters?

Help with a bike id

I picked up what i think is a ccm motorbike, previous owners son thought it was from the 40's but i dont think the serial number supports that if i can go by that,

Pinstriping on 37 Flyte Question

Hi,  I was wondering if anyone has an original finish 1937 Flyte.  The catalogue that year does not mention "striping"  while the 1938 catalogue does.  I don't have an original 37 catalogue, but the one posted here seems to show it.  Difficult to tell though.

Thanks!  --David

Help Identifying 50-60s CCM Bicycle

Hi all,

I bought htis bike a few years ago.  The frame was blue and white at the time of purchase.  Since I was using it at the cottage I decided it needed a camo paint job which also gave me an opportinituy to test my painting skills before I camo painted my aluminum boat.

I was hoping someone might be able to suggest a year/decade for this bike.

Cheers,
Len

Repainting bicycle frames and forks

Hi,  I was wondering if anyone has had good experiences with a company that can do a professional paint job on an old CCM bike.  The original finish has been removed by hand sanding and the present paint job has been done, with what might be charitably described as "great enthusiasm."  Powder coating might be one option, but you lose the historic look.  Some people tie the bike to a tree and aim the Tremclad spray bomb in the general direction, hopefully avoiding small children and pets.

Happy

,I located the original seat from my CCM formula....but not like the seat on the Cade photos. The red version of the bike displayed has a number of items that are different from mine. I know mine is all original,no previous owners.

Can someone please help verify year

Hi there,

I was hoping someone could please help me verify the year of a CCM bike I picked up and have started to clean up and restore. At first I thought it was around mid 60's but I got a bit confused when I found the serial number chart and referenced it to the stamp on my bike suggesting it is 1932. I will post a few photos and would be happy to hear any input. Thank you all in advance.

bike crank

i have a 1945 ccm bike with a one piece crank with the numbers of 1065-2-5 in the center of the crank , What do these numbers mean , i would like to replace it as the threads on one end is worn .as i dont know why ,the nut is still good .

I am looking for some guidance in taking apart the crank assembly of a ~1937 CCM Flyer. I do not want to bang or torque in the wrong direction and I can not seem to find a relevent YouTube video.
