Hi there,
I recently picked up a vintage bicycle. I have been a bike guy since I was a kid and worked as a bicycle mechanic for years and now as a schoolteacher have taught thousands of students bicycle mechanics over 20 years. I am by no means a bicycle "collector" OR vintage bike expert. I have however seen many different bicycles over 30 years of working on them. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE vintage bicycles, but simply don't have the room to keep them. I do however collect Bicycle license plates from all over Canada. I have hundreds

Hi I'm new to this forum.
I have just inherited my grandfather's 1902 ccm bike. It has been sitting in a garage since 1963. It is rusted. It appears to have all its parts. I'm unsure if I should attempt to clean it or leave it as is. Unsure if attempt to remove the rust would harm it, decrease its valve. Or if it has any valve do to its rust. I was interest if anyone in this forum had any insight.
Thank you
Kelly
What is the correct tire size for an F.13 rim. Is it 622 or 635. The 26" measurements are too variable to use.
Thank you!
Hi,
Just wondering what the size of the lock nut is holding the chain wheel on the drive side of the crank. I think it's 1 3/8" but wanted to be sure. The wrench needs to be offset too I believe. Was there a tool made for this by CCM. If so does anyone have an extra they would like to sell?
Thank you, Daryl

Any info about restoration or parts would also be great.
Here's a bike I just picked up today. Wrong seat and grips but the rest seems original! Just curious what a value it might have so I'm asking the experts!
