Hello, I recently bought a '36 Red Bird which unfortuneately has been ridden pretty hard by previous owners (it was rpainted some time before '45, which is plain to see because it still has the license sticker). The drive train is useable, but the teeth are pretty shark-toothed.
Anyhow - is it reasonable that this CCM would have had a Perry rear hub? The front wheel is also stamped "Made in England." Both of the wheels and rims certainly look period, but they could have been replaced back when the bike was repainted.
I love this photo of Backpeddling in Guelph. If you're ever down that way, pop in. It's amazing. www.backpeddling.com

Hello everyone, I have recently ventured into the world of CCM bicycles. I picked up a 24" CCM Galaxie for my daughter. She loves it. It is in decent condition, I am just going to clean it up a bit and remove the rust, but otherwise leave it as is. Previously she was riding around on a 20" Schwinn Typhoon, which is now being handed down to my boy. Can't wait for spring, gonna have some cool kids on some cool rides cruisin' around town!
I will post pics as soon as I figure that out, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Sean
We have a CCM touring bicycle built as a Skyline branded cycle. CCM one piece crank and a Shimano 3 speed hub.Colour bronze. I have also seen a Skyline brand CCM silver ten speed. Can anyone tell me who it was that used the Skyline brand?Presumably one of the mass merchants, like Canadian Tire, or Sears. These bikes are around in Manitoba so it could have been a western company. Can anyone give me an answer?
ive got an Elan with the serial number A737334,is there anyone that can use this to tell me the year and specifics regarding the bike?tks Bill
Hello everyone, i just recently scored a whole pile of bicycles from a gentleman in Welland and one of the bikes was a Cadet (serial S33564). does anyone have any information on these? Do the serial numbers jive with the same ones from the CCM serial number list that is available online? any help would be hugely appreciated it seems like a very cool bike and eventually i plan on fixing this one up too.
Thanks Alan.
Does anyone have a chain guard for an Imperial (any model) for sale, or know where I can aquire one.
- Thank You
I'm in need of some expert advise. I recently aquired a CCM bicycle that is in decent shape. I have begun to restore it but I don't know what it is supposed to look like because I can't identify the year and model. My guess was that it isfrom around the 1960s, but while disassembling the bicycle I found a serial number on one of the drop outs: C95603. I used the CCM serial number chart which dates it to 1923. Is this correct??? Can someone please help me identify this bicycle from the pictures below?
