1923 CCM Perfect restoration

I'm restoring my 1923 CCM Perfect bicycle. I have the frame stripped down except...I can't get the front forks off the bike. I am unable to get the steering tube detached from the fork tube.

I was able to successfullly remove the big bolt that goes down the top of the steering tube, but I cannot loosen the steering tube from the fork tube.

CCM Cone Nut Tool

Well....I've been having issues trying to get that cone nut off that's next to the chain ring on a couple of projects.

I searched the good old CCM forums and the internet and see I'm not the only one. I see in the catalogue there was a special tool (of course) that is used to get that cone nut off.

I suppose you could fab something up (and I've tried) but I decided to find a solution that would work better than a tool hack or pliers etc....

Interesting frame - what model is it?

Hi. I am hoping the knowledgeable CCM members can help me with this interesting frame. I cannot find

any online to compare it to.  Any idea what model it is?  It is a B serial number , it has a Super Komet hub, and a

headtube sticker (not badge). 28 x 1 1/2 wheels and a 19"  frame. The fork shape surprised me until i realized that a

previous owner had bent them, then turned them around so the bike would still function !  Must have had interesting

Here's it is, in a rather bad picture... more to come later !

(Please forgive my langages mistakes. I'm a french guy living in Québec)

2015 Calendar

Apparently, there is a glitch with the Buy Now button for the 2015 calendar. I apologize for that. Hopefully, it will be rectified shortly. Isn't technology wonderful?
